Malware On Android Rises Up to 427 Percent

Android popularity turned out to have an impact on the many threats that lurk. According to data from Juniper Global Threat Center, the threat of malware on Android has increased sharply.

The increase was reached more than 400% since last few months. From these data, approximately 55% of the spyware that will steal your personal data and the rest is the SMS trojan.

Juniper Global Threat Center found that in October and November is the time of fastest growth in malware in the history of Android.

The number of malware samples that were identified in September increased to 28% of the number of samples that have been known. Meanwhile, in October showed an increase to 110% over the previous month and rose again to 171% of the data has been collected since July 2011.

"The company blamed the security was too open Android system in which every person can develop any application and place it in the Android Market with ease. Later, this application will appear in the Android Market without going through the verification process first. This is a risk to the infiltration of malware" , said a spokesman for Juniper Global Threat Center.

Juniper also suspect that people who are behind it all are the same people who make malware code on other platforms such as Symbian and also older versions of Windows Mobile.

Well, for those Android users, it's good to check carefully if you want to install an application. Or if you want a more secure, it is better to use third-party security applications that offer more optimal protection.
